West Blue Java doesn't have the characteristic Indonesian earthy taste, but surprises with its full, sweet aroma and slight, chocolate aftertaste.

West Java coffee comes from the "Sunda" region, near Badung city. Although it's the oldest growing area on the island, few coffee trees remain there as production has moved to the east of the island. Farmers in the west grow coffee at altitudes between 1400 and 1550 meters, and beans are carefully hand-picked according to old tradition.
